Cut him off completely. Don’t talk to him and don’t respond to him–either in person or online. It’s natural to have feelings for someone you’ve been with, even if they’ve been mean to you. I know it hurts–I’ve been there, but if you just do this half way, it will hurt longer. Cut him out and look elsewhere.
